171 Cedar Arts Center invites artists to submit work for consideration in our upcoming exhibition, Freedom. Submission should reflect the theme of Freedom, as this exhibition will examine the concept of freedom from a variety of perspectives.
Artists are invited to submit work that speaks to a specific issue regarding freedom, or contributes to the wider discussion of the meaning of freedom in today’s world. 2D, 3D, Video/Film/New Media/Interactive, and Installation work are eligible.
A panel of regional artists, curators, and gallerists will adjudicate. Interested artists may submit up to three (3) images for consideration (unless submitting time-based work – please see below). Work should have been created within the last two years. Please follow these instructions to enter via email:
There is no fee to enter.
NEW DEADLINE: Entries must be received no later than Monday, December 14, 2015. Artists will be notified no later than Monday, December 14. Selected work must be delivered to 171 Cedar Arts Center no later than Monday, January 4. Artists will be responsible for delivery and pick up of their work. Equipment to exhibit time-based and interactive work will be the responsibility of the artist.
