Apr 6 - May 25

On Display in 171’s Houghton Gallery April 6 – May 25, 2018

Reception Friday, April 6, 5 – 8 PM

P.J. Zimmerlink is an artist who keeps a studio in Greensburg, PA and is a Curator at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, PA. His work has drawn attention from curators from museums such as the Albright Knox in Buffalo, NY and the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA. His studies revolved around sculptural practices that involve traditions of building in metals, wood, and various other materials. Conceptually his work often explores social justice, workers’ rights, and environmental issues.

Daniel Reidy is an artist and educator in upstate NY. He keeps a studio in Elmira, NY and is a Visiting Lecturer at Corning Community College. His work employs multiple modes of art making, but he is primarily a figurative painter in oil. His work has been show in solo exhibitions in the north east United States and included in group and invitational shows across the country. He addresses multiple themes at once, often starting from an attempt to rationalize an empathetic response to something witnessed, or an emotional response to something experienced, but the results are distanced from their source by process, humor, and contradiction.
