The Women's Chorale @171 Concert

The Women's Chorale @171 presents "Sing for Spring: A Bouquet of Choral Music" on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 pm. The concert will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on the corner of Cedar and First Streets in Corning. The twenty-three women of the Chorale are under the direction of Dr. Carl Johengen, and will be accompanied by Roxanne Gaylord at the piano. The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken. 


The diverse program will include arrangements of American folk songs, music to poetry by Sara Teasdale, Emily Dickinson, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Edna St. Vincent Millay, and a chorus by Felix Mendelssohn. The Women’s Chorale @ 171 has been in existence since 1990, and has performed throughout the Southern Finger Lakes region.
