Young Chefs Cooking School

 (offered year-round)
with Nithya Krishnan

Tie on your apron strings! Accomplished home cook and culinary instructor Nithya Krishnan helps budding chefs explore exciting cuisine youngsters can make with ease. With recipes from around the world, this culinary experience will supply students with impressive menus and skills to share with family and friends.

 

Due to a shared kitchen space, Miss Nithya's Young Chefs Culinary School is unable to accommodate severe life threatening allergies to gluten, nuts, dairy and celiac conditions.

Join David Phelps for a lesson on sushi. We'll begin with some demonstrations and history on sushi, and then work individually or in teams to create our own sushi rolls. You will have the option to make vegetarian rolls or fish.
We won't be working with raw fish for safety reasons, but you can purchase sushi grade fish and use these skills to make your own rolls at home. We'll finish with a delicious dipping sauce, slice our rolls, and practice presentation tricks.
