ATTENTION DANCERS!

 

OPEN AUDITIONS

 

Sunday, September 24, 2017

for the upcoming 2018 winter production of

 

Little Mermaid

 

Auditions will be held at 171 CEDAR ARTS CENTER in the DRAKE HOUSE THEATER

(155 Cedar Street).

Practices will be held weekends September 2017 through the end of January 2018.

 

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

Dates: Saturday, January 27, 2018, 3:00 & 7:00 and Sunday, January 28, 2018 2:00 & 6:00

Location: Corning Museum of Glass Auditorium

Dress rehearsals: Thursday & Friday, January 25 & 26, 2018 4:00-9:30pm

 

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years dance experience

8 years old, or older, by September 1, 2017

Current and continual enrollment and attendance to dance classes throughout the entire production schedule

     THIS IS MANDATORY TO BE INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION

 

A commitment of attendance to rehearsals Students and their parents will be asked to sign a production contract stating they  understand and accept the commitment of the rehearsal and performance schedule.

 

Production Fee Students auditioning for this production will be charged a production fee. The fee helps to cover the cost of theater rental, costumes, sets, props, equipment rental, etc., and include one production T-shirt. The production fee is $50 per student. The fee is divided into two installments of $25, and the payment dates are as follows: 1st payment due September 24, when registering for auditions;   2nd payment due January 15

THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE TAP AUDITIONS. ALL DANCERS (INCLUDING TAPPERS) SHOULD ATTEND THE SCHEDULE BELOW

Tappers can note on their audition sheet if they are interested in a tapping part.

3:00-3:30

ages 8-9 yrs.

3:30-4:00

ages 10-11 yrs.

4:00-4:30

ages 12-13 yrs.

4:30-5:00

ages 14-17 yrs. (including pointe)

5:00-5:30

Seniors

5:30-6:50

Boys 13+ yrs.

NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN PRIOR TO THE AUDITIONS IF A DANCER IS UNABLE TO ATTEND THE AUDITIONS!
