Stacey Esslinger
CeramicsStacey received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in May of 2004. During the summer of 2002 Stacey traveled to China to study traditional Chinese Ceramics at the Sanboa Ceramics Art Institute. From May to October of 2005 Stacey was a resident at the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony in Woodstock, NY, where she taught classes and co-organized the Mug-a-thon fund raiser for the ceramics program at Byrdcliffe. In 2006 Stacey set up a home based studio in Maumee, Ohio and focused on producing and selling her work through galleries and art shows. In September of 2008 Stacey relocated to Corning where she intends to continue making and selling her functional slab-built porcelain work.
Stacey joined the 171 Faculty in 2009.
