Since the grand opening of 171 Cedar Arts Center in 1968, 171 cultivated a legacy of excellent arts instruction in the Southern Tier. Classes are taught by professional artists and passionate community members in a great variety of subjects from felting to fencing and everything in between. Out departmental pages offer a deeper look into 171's core programming areas- ceramics, dance, music and visual arts- about the spaces, the curriculum and the instructors.
