In this hands-on workshop, Steve Nurczynski will demonstrate how to use a hand crank and an electric grinder to process fresh ingredients into two forms of sausages! Students will learn how to transform pork and casings into a sausage links and learn how to sizzle up a hand packed breakfast patty. This is a great class for those interested in processing their own wild game or cooking with fewer preservatives. Recipes and samples will be provided.

Looking to expand your cooking repertoire?  Learn how to make traditional Korean dishes with native, Sunhwa Choi, just in time for a pre-lunch snack. As time permits, students will learn how to make the following dishes:

  • Kimchi (fermented cabbage and tomato)
  • Dwen-jang-jji-Gae (the ultimate Korean comfort stew)
  • Bulkogi and Galbi (grilled marinated beef variations)
  • Samgyeop-sal (pork belly)
  • Galbijjim (beef short-ribs)
  • Tteok-guk (broth/soup with thinly sliced rice cakes)
  • Manduguk (dumplings in beef or anchovy broth)
  • Galbitang (beef rub soup)
  • Samgyetang (ginseng chicken Soup)
  • Bibimbap (mixed rice)
  • Jobchae (stir fried noodles and vegetables).
