Each of our demonstration-style classes is limited to 25 students. All Saturday culinary workshops are held in the Drake House Studio Theater (155 Cedar Street) from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM.

CURRENTLY SOLD OUT - Call to be added to our wait list!: Entertaining time is fast approaching and you’ll be prepared for the visiting relatives, returning friends (with their tans), and all those occasions when you say to yourself “I ought to have a party.” Well you’ll be armed and ready thanks to Louise Richardson’s Hors D’oeuvre class. Louise is a much-in-demand area caterer and she has a sure-fire technique for planning events well in advance. She’ll share this with the class, along with her winning recipes that have proved so popular with her clients and their guests. You’ll find this selection of finger-type foods, dips and such, marvelously delicious (superlative justified). In her other life, Louise is the Communications Manager at the Chemung County SPCA office on Route 352. In her culinary class Louise will have a wonderful variety of great things, just don’t look for Hot Dogs!

If you’ve been to Chef Michael’s classes you know it’s a freewheeling, laid-back experience with absolutely delicious food. And, yes, you can duplicate what he makes at home. He has planned to demonstrate New Ideas in Vegetarian Cooking – certainly a hot topic. I imagine you’ll have one or more vegetarians at your table or perhaps you’ve been there already. Here’s help from one of the most adventurous chefs around. As Michael says: “I’m nuts about the new cheese I’ve perfected – especially since it’s made with nuts!” This nut can’t wait. CURRENTLY SOLD OUT - Call to be added to our wait list!: Suzanne Stack – Suzanne’s Fine Finger Lakes Cuisine will inspire you to cook in the moment (otherwise known as the season). She’ll be picking early produce and herbs that grow just outside her restaurant. She is a natural teacher and learned her craft as an assistant at Macy’s De Gustibus in the New York store working with some of the top teachers in the food world, and it shows. Suzanne has a great following right here in the Lakes. Many people think of Suzanne’s as a “special occasion” restaurant – and they are right. It has a beautiful setting: an historic farmhouse, rolling lawns, a restored barn for events such as receptions, and with perhaps the best view on Seneca Lake. Sign up early for this class.
