  Students will mix and prepare their own paper clay in small batches, using the clay of their choice.  The addition of paper fiber to clay allows for easier, thinner and finer construction, as well as overall strength and flexibility.  Dry paper clay is very strong in its unfired state, and is receptive to moist clay additions.  There will be time to explore the material and develop personal work along with technical instruction.
